Jörg Frauendiener's work is concerned mostly with Einstein's theory of general relativity. He is interested not only i the general mathematical background of the theory, its relationship to twistor theory, but also in its numerical aspects. Currently, he is working on a numerical approach to simulate general relativistic space-times based on the conformal field equations.
