Research Professor, Department of Biochemistry, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Rappaport Institute, Haifa, Israel.

Research Interests :
1- Regulation of the transcriptional regulators NF-kB, Myc, p53 and MyoD by the ubiquitin system.

2- On the linkage between the ubiquitin system and apoptosis. Downregulating the ubiquitin system and resensitizing malignant cells to apoptosis as a measure to reverse the malignant phenotype.

Awards and Honors :
Nobel Prize in Chemistry for 2004 "for the discovery of ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation" awarded jointly to Prof. Avram Hershko and Prof. Irwin Rose.
